This airframe is a bit of a "mutt". Built for the USAAF as 44-74829. Eventually into civilian hands in 1959, it suffered a hard landing in 1967. In 1976 the damaged airframe was used in the re-build of 45-11558, then in 1981 it was rebuilt using components from a TNI-AU P-51. It flew again in 1984, and was sold in New Zealand as ZK-TAF, painted in a post WWII scheme as NZ 2415.
