This is the Nitto Douglas DC-9-41 kit, packaged in Canada by MBB. Modelcraft Canada obtained MBB's remaining stocks, and had the decal reprinted.

The HP.137 Jetstream 3 was equipped with Turbomeca Asazou XIV engines, however the version proposed for the USAF order was to have Garrett TPE-331 engines. The USAF order was cancelled, and none were delivered.

Following the bankruptcy of Handley Page, British Aerospace resurrected the program. The Bae Jetstream 31 and 32 were all fitted with the TPE-331 engines. A "quick" engine conversion to the Garret can be achieved by simply installing the front part of the kit engine upside down from what is shown in the kit instructions.... apply a little putty, and don't look too closely!

This is the Nitto kit, packaged in Canada by MBB, then repackaged by Modelcraft Canada with Canadian Airlines International Ltd decal (by AHS). Box art is Pacific Western, with a Canadian Airlines overlay.

As the shrink wrap has long since been removed, the overlay photo of the Canadian Airlines 737 is inside the box. Decal is by AHS (sheet AHS1006).

MBB added (and is included) a large, full colour poster of a Pacific Western 737-200 in profile and plan view. It was folded to fit the box, and is otherwise in very good condition. Finally, a booklet titled "Hobby Guide", written in English and French is included. This booklet provides a guide to building and finishing a plastic model, and is in addition to the kit specific assembly instructions.
