This kit contains parts as follows:

Fuselage (and reinforcing bulkheads) - Vacuform Plastic
Wings, stabs, fin, engines and pylons - Resin
Landing Gear - White Metal

Note, landing gear doors are not provided as specific parts. These are easily hand made from excess plastic on the vacuform plastic sheet.

This kit is advertised as a DC-8-71, primarily because that was the version operated by United Airlines. It can just as easily be built as a -73, as the wings provided do include the extended wingtips.

The decal provided is the ATP sheet AD5078. The decal provides all material required to finish the model in the final United Airlines orange/red/blue scheme worn by the DC-8-61's and 71's. ATP sheet AD5005 is included to provide Windows and door outlines. This decal is easily adapted to a DC-8-50 series model.
