The KC-135E is the basic KC135A, re-engined with PW JT3D engines removed from retired Boeing 707-320B/C aircraft, and fitted with the taller fin also recycled from the 707's. This kit includes a decal for the Kansas ANG 'Tiger Meet' shown on the box, and for a basic New Jersey ANG aircraft.

The KC-135R is the basic KC-135A, re-engined with CFM56 engines and fitted with the taller fin also recycled from the 707's. This kit includes a decal for an aircraft from the 22nd ARW (931st ARG) McConnell AFB shown on the box, and for a basic Illinois ANG aircraft.

The KC-135A was first introduced in 1957 to replace the KC-97 piston powered tanker aircraft in the USAF fleet. It is powered by four Pratt & Whitney J-57-P-59W turbojet engines. The last of over 800 built for the USAF was delivered in 1964. This kit includes a decals for the aircraft based at Ellsworth AFB (1984) and Robbins AFB (1975). Decal by Cartograf (Italy).
